Keasha, who was 37 years old at the time, in great shape and a never-smoker, was diagnosed with Stage IV Lung Cancer in December 2010. She passed away about a year later and although she is no longer physically on earth, her vibrant spirit carries on. During Keasha’s lung cancer battle, Chris and Keasha founded Team Draft to tackle lung cancer as a team. In this episode of Journey Time, Chris sits with Hannah on November 27th, which marks Team Draft’s 7th anniversary and Chris and Keasha’s 7th wedding anniversary, and opens up about their journey.

Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer death among both men and women, according to the American Cancer Society. Chris continues to use his platform to raise awareness and funds to support lung cancer research worldwide. The Stanford University graduate hosts a Super Bowl Challenge with lung cancer survivors every year and it’s not too late to join. The survivor-advocate whose team raises the most money will join Team Draft at the upcoming Super Bowl in Atlanta, Georgia.
