Ethiopian American Nurse leads Alemtsehay Breast Cancer Foundation: Journey Time with Fifi Derso

HannahJoyTV – In this episode of Journey Time, we meet Fifi Derso, an Ethiopian American nurse based in Atlanta, GA who is the founder and president of the Alemtsehay Breast Cancer Foundation.

Fifi started the foundation in 2012 in honor of her sister, Alemtsehay, who passed away due to breast cancer. Today, Fifi is a huge advocate and serves communities in the U.S. and Ethiopia. During this interview, Fifi discusses how she recently overcame her own breast cancer battle and offers advice to other women. She also shares some great news about a new “Pink House” the foundation is opening in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia to serve breast and cervical cancer patients in need.
